There are a lot of things I'm dealing with now and will be dealing with when I get back, but I'm still having a good time.
My dad took me night driving about an hour and a half ago and we stopped and looked at the stars for awhile. I saw the milky way for the first time! You can see light from Denver though (that's hella far), you really have to get far out to have actual darkness it seems.

He has been talking to some friends and looking into insurance for me- I have a possible car lined up but we'll see how it goes, it might not work out. Not going to get too excited yettt

We saw some really pretty places when we went up to Saratoga but they were mostly driving by on mountain roads with me in the backseat behind dirty tinted windows... not really the best photo opportunities. I've seen some AMAZING graffiti on the Union Pacific rail cars (I have absurdly high standards for admiration so that means something :p) but my camera is pretty slow and that was also driving by x_x

I do have a few pictures from around the house and othersss
I have pictures of Jehu but not of the cute cute cute border collie named Missy that my dad and Larisa adopted. She's really hilarious too, very strange behavior.

Just a handful of journals of people who don't post anymore, or we seem to be totally invested in other interests. Or just never talk anymore. It's honestly nothing personal - I enjoyed talking to you when I did see you. I needed to make my LJ a little more comfortable.

If you really feel that I've removed you in error or I've removed you and you seriously want to stay on, just say so. No hard feelings - I don't want to cut someone who is genuinely around. :)

SALAD SHIT by ~*~*~jami*~**~*u#!#$!
  • 1/4 cup of chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup of chopped zucchini and summer squash (yellow zucchini)
  • 3 white mushrooms sliced
  • like 6 baby carrots chopped up small
  • 1/2 tsp Nuoc Cham
  • 1.5-2 tbsp peanut sause
  • sprinkle of oregano, rosemary and basil
  • and a little bit of water

put all of this into a tupperware and SHAKE IT UP ALL VIOLENTLY but dont let the lid come off because then you have to clean it all up.

and then if you like it hot/steamed put it in the microwave for a minute or so.

AND THEN EAT IT. it has less than 200 calories and it's really filling. It's really good with Triscuits!

low sodium, low fat, lotsa veggies. crunchy and soft, too.

Just a reminder to my self:

It's Gettin' Hot In Here

Feh, Texas summers! I wouldn't mind them so much if our air conditioner worked properly. During any Texas summer you can expect the weather to at least get to 100 degrees for at least a week straight, and so here we are. Our A/C is either inadequate, or we have some serious circulation problems, because it can get nearly up to 90 degrees in here on those days. And when that happens, doing any kind of art is a lost cause, because I can't focus or get comfortable at all.

I think it might be the house though, since in the winter the inside temperature drops to about 45 and never gets warm enough. I'll probably have to buy a new space heater this year, too.

Today is one of the rare, RARE days where it's overcast out and the temperature inside is actually not too bad. So I'd better take advantage of it right now!

Oh yeah, I'm gonna be working on sketch cards today! I'm going to enjoy doing them too, because I want to do a whole set of Zatch Bell characters. That's such a fun series.

So yeah...
